Diana Carter
Diana Carter serves as vice president for risk management, leading Emory’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program. The ERM program provides a framework for university leadership to approach mission-based activities, while methodically identifying, assessing, and preparing for potential risks related to known and emerging issues.  In this role, Carter also coordinates the work of university compliance, internal audit, and critical event preparedness and response to ensure alignment among these risk mitigation functions.

Carter also leads the operations and communications team that supports the Office of Business and Administration.

Carter joined Emory in 2013 after working at Georgia Institute of Technology and Deloitte. She has built a strong foundation of knowledge about Emory and has held roles in the Finance Division and served as the chief business officer for Candler School of Theology.

Carter is a certified public accountant and has a bachelor's and master’s degree from the University of Georgia.
