Pim Thukral

Senior Vice President, Enterprise Chief Financial Officer

Pim Thukral serves as the senior vice president and enterprise chief financial officer of Emory University, reporting to the president. In this role, Thukral provides strategic leadership for the university’s financial health, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability across the Emory enterprise.

Thukral oversees the finance organizations of both Emory University and Emory Healthcare, as well as investments, information technology, the Emory Health Plan, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation. She is responsible for ensuring that financial, technological, and operational resources are aligned with Emory’s strategic priorities and positioned to support future growth and innovation.

Working closely with academic, administrative, and health care leaders, Thukral advances enterprise-wide financial and operational strategies, leads digital and business transformation initiatives, and promotes sound fiscal stewardship in support of Emory’s mission.

Prior to joining Emory, Thukral served as vice president for budget and financial planning and analysis at New York University. She also spent 28 years at Georgetown University, where she held a series of increasingly senior leadership roles, including chief financial officer of the medical center, university budget director, and vice president of financial accounting and systems.

Thukral has extensive international higher education experience, having spent seven years in Qatar. She served as director of finance at Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar and later as the chief operations officer at Northwestern University–Qatar.

She holds an MBA in finance and accounting and a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Tulane University and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
