(Interim) Chief Compliance Officer and Research Integrity Officer for Emory University
John Lawley serves as the Interim Chief Compliance Officer for Emory University. He works with partners in units across Emory to ensure compliance with the myriad of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing university activities. As part of his role, he serves as Emory's Research Integrity Officer and administers the process for reviewing allegations of research misconduct.
Lawley joined Emory as a staff member in 2005. Before becoming Interim Chief Compliance Officer, he worked as Emory's Deputy Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to that Lawley served in the Office of Research Compliance where he started as the Assistant Director and was promoted to the position of Associate Director.
Lawley holds a BA from the Emory University, and a JD from American University.
