Vice President for Research Administration
The mission of the Office of Research Administration (ORA) is to provide administrative systems and technical expertise to facilitate scholarship, research, and discovery from inception through dissemination and application.
Dr. David Wynes, the Vice President for Research Administration, supports and fosters the scholarly work of the faculty, facilitates multidisciplinary initiatives within the University, works with faculty and other offices to develop new sources of funding, supports and coordinates direct sponsored and non-sponsored research activities and direct University-based technology transfer programs, supports and advises the University community in areas of research compliance, and establishes good working relationships with external communities.
The Office of Research Administration includes the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), the Office of Research Compliance (ORC), the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), the Conflict of Interest Office (COI), the Office of Clinical Research (OCR), the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO).
